A beautiful powder magazine in excellent condition for a 400-year-old object. Height 190 mm. The surface of the bone is covered with fine graphic engraving in the technique of "squimshaw" (ink filling of cut lines). The plot of the drawing is a pastoral or hunting scene: hares in a meadow are drawn in detail in the foreground, trees, a hilly landscape and the outlines of a castle or ancient buildings are visible above. A traditional braided ornament is used along the upper and lower edges. On the other side is an image of a hunter aiming at game. The product has a characteristic flattened, slightly curved conical shape. A functional bone plug (dispenser spout) with a geometric thread is located on top. Authentic iron rings are fixed on the sides, designed to carry a powder flask on a waist belt or belt belt. There is a museum inventory number on the bottom.
Attention: the powder flask is issued at a remote commission, shipping to the buyer no earlier than mid-July 2026.
