A selection of Bulgarian Orders of Civil Merit and their stars, regency issue

A uniquely rare selection of one of the highest civilian orders of Bulgaria in the second half of the Second World War in excellent preservation. The lot includes:

1. Grosskreutz with a star on the shoulder ribbon (there was 1 award in total, the presence of such an order is no longer noticed in private collections)

1. Order of the 1st class on a shoulder ribbon with a star (10-15 sets were made in total, 5 were awarded)

1. The order of the 2nd class in a case on a neck ribbon, with a star (a total of 10-20 sets were made, no more than 5 were awarded).

All the badges of the orders are either in luxury or near-luxury preservation. They are made of 900 silver using hot enamel and precious stones. From the old Russian collection. Lifetime guarantee of authenticity for all elements of this lot. Expert opinions of a faleristics expert certified by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation will be issued on the signs.

The Order of Civil Merit (bolg. The Order of Civil Merit is a state award of the Principality, and in 1908 of the Kingdom of Bulgaria. The Order was established by Decree of Prince Ferdinand I on August 2, 1891 and was intended to reward civil servants who, through exemplary service or significant merits, acquired the right to the gratitude of the Fatherland. The Order of Civil Merit was restored, with some changes, on June 13, 2003 and is currently the State award of the Republic of Bulgaria.
