Silver, stamping. The original medal is in excellent collector's condition. On the obverse there is a custom-made image of Tsar Boris 3 of Bulgaria (1918-1943) in profile, to the left. On the reverse there is an image of the Bulgarian coat of arms and the inscription "For merit". A block with a red moire ribbon, triangular in shape (red is a type of peacetime ribbon). The original case and the award document are included. Guarantee of authenticity.
The medal was established on December 25, 1881, by Prince Alexander I of Bulgaria Battenberg (1879-1886). Officers of the Bulgarian Army and Navy and Air Force, as well as middle-level officials, were awarded for their services to the crown. In addition to the 2nd class medals, there were 3rd and 1st class awards "in bronze" (for lower-level officials and enlisted and non-commissioned officers of the Armed Forces of the Bulgarian Kingdom) and "in gold" (for senior officials and senior officers of the Armed Forces of the Bulgarian Kingdom) on peace and wartime ribbons with suspensions in in the form of crowns (for services to the "Crown") or without them (for services to the Fatherland).
