Bronze, gilding, stamping. Remnants of the stamp gloss. In the center of the obverse is the monogram of Prince Alexander I under the princely crown. There are inscriptions around the circumference indicating the locations of key battles and the date.: ESKI ZAGRA (Stara Zagora), SHIPKA, SHEINOVO, JULY 19, 1880 (date of establishment of the medal). On the reverse side of the medal there is usually an inscription in Bulgarian: "TO the militia FOR the Liberation of 1877-1878" (to the Militia for the liberation of 1877-1878). It was established on July 19, 1880. It was awarded to Bulgarian militia members who took part in the Russian-Turkish War of 1877-1878. Very rare.
