The reign of Vittorio Emanuele III 1900-1943. Medal for merits in service in 1907. Medallist L. Giorgi. Silver. Diameter 36 mm Weight 22,2 gr. On the obverse on the background of the Roman forum sits on the haunches of a lion woman, hands holding a scroll on which is written: "DUTY — COURAGE — self-denial." On the reverse the inscription in three lines "Al merito di servizio" ( "For merit in service"), also depicts a wreath of Laurel and oak. On the ear there is the inscription "ROMA***". There are minor dings and scratches; temporary patina. The guarantee of authenticity.
