Zinc, stamping. The original, slightly faded Shoe. Medal "For the liberation of Transylvania". Established 1940. On the obverse an image of king of Hungary Matthias Corvinus (1457-1490.) and the inscription (Hungarian) ERDÉLYI RÉSZEK FELSZABADULÁSÁNAK EMLÉKÉRE (IN MEMORY of the LIBERATION of PART of TRANSYLVANIA), date 1940. On the reverse the coat of arms of Transylvania, the inscription in Hungarian MÁTYÁS KIRÁLY SZÜLETÉSÉNEK ÉVFORDULÓJÁN 500 (500 YEARS SINCE the BIRTH of KING MATTHIAS), the inscription NAGYBÁNYAI VITÉZ HORTHY MIKLÓS KORMÁNYZÓ ORSÁGLÁSÁNAK ÉVÉBEN XX (20 YEARS of the REGENCY of VALIANT MIKLÓS HORTHY DE NAGYBANYA).
