Silver 990 samples, stamped. The medal was established in 1881 and was awarded for outstanding services to the Bulgarian nation and the crown. Obverse (obverse side): The profile of the reigning monarch Ferdinand I is depicted, with an inscription in Bulgarian around the circumference: "FERDINAND I TSAR OF Bulgaria" (Ferdinand I Tsar of the Bulgarians). Reverse (reverse side): in the center is the inscription "FOR MERIT" (For merits) in two lines, surrounded by a wreath of oak and laurel leaves tied with a ribbon, and a five-pointed star at the bottom (this side is not visible in the image, but is standard for the medal). The award is suspended on a red ribbon. Initially, the medal was awarded on a crimson ribbon, but later it was approved to use the ribbon of the Order of Bravery (red) for services during the war and on the battlefield. Excellent condition. The medal is in its original case. The Ferdinand issue. A rare variety with a medallist's badge and a stamp on the edge. This crown option is very rare. Badges with the name of the medallist are distinguished by a higher quality of workmanship than those without a signature. Guarantee of authenticity.
