The original Austrian commemorative medal in honor of the 50th anniversary of the patronage of Emperor Franz Joseph I over the 1st and 8th artillery regiments. In the center of the obverse is the profile of the young Emperor Franz Joseph I, facing left. He is wearing a military uniform with decorations. The year 1854 is stamped to the right of the portrait. The text in German reads: " * K.K. FELD-ARTILLERY-REGIMENT KAISER FRANZ JOSEPH No. 1 *" ("Royal and Imperial Field Artillery Regiment No. 1" ("K.K. Feld-Artillery-Regiment Kaiser Franz Joseph No. 1)."). In the center of the reverse is the profile of Emperor Franz Joseph I in a military uniform, facing to the right. Text in a circle: "ERINNERUNG ADHABER JUBILAUM D. K.U.K. CORPS-ARTILLERY. RGMT. KAISER No. 8" ( "Memo on the anniversary of patronage of Imperial and Royal Corps Artillery Regiment "Kaiser" No. 8").
