Zinc, stamping. Original medal in a good collectable condition. Diameter 38 mm. On the obverse pachanoi the image of the Emperor of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, Karl I (1916-1918), was in profile to the right, in the upper part of the coin the inscription in Latin, CAROLUS (Russian translation; Carl), under the sawed-off neck labelling the Vienna master engraver R. PLACHT (Richard Plach; Richard Plot, the years of life he 1880-1962) and two Laurel branches crossed. On the reverse in the Central part of the test awards the inscription consisting of two lines in Latin LÆSØ MILITI (Russian translation; WOUNDED WARRIOR), in ekzarhe Roman numerals MCMXVIII (1918 year). Moire ribbon, triangular in shape, consists of threefold color scheme (green, red and black). Three red stripes in the middle part of the trim the black bars smaller — designation of three wounds. The guarantee of authenticity.
Medal "For the wounded". Established July 13, 1918. Austria — Hungary (original title in German Verwundetenmedaille). This medal was awarded to soldiers of the Austro — Hungarian Army received two wounded in the fighting of World War 1 1914-1918 (one lane in the middle). The first awarding of the medal took place in August 1918, two months before the defeat of the Empire in the war.
