The first Royal Albanian award, established in 1914, is a bronze medal measuring 28.3 mm wide and 39 mm high. The medal, designed by the famous Austrian sculptor, designer and artist Gustav Gurschner, was awarded to the participants and organizers of the celebration on the occasion of the accession of Prince Wilhelm von Vida ascended the Albanian throne on March 7, 1914. The ribbon of the medal is red with two black stripes. The obverse of the medal depicts the profile of Wilhelm von Wied. On the reverse side is his princely monogram with the date written in Roman numerals between the crown and the letter W: "VII III" (March 7), and under the letter W is the year "1914". Rare.
