A voluminous work, the author of which is Evgeny Borisovich Skralivetsky. This is a fundamental study devoted to the art of the artistic setting of Japanese edged weapons, in particular, the tsube (guard of the Japanese sword). The book is divided into two main parts. The first one examines the history of the emergence and development of schools of frame craftsmen, jewelry techniques, metals and alloys used, as well as issues of restoration and collecting. The second part is devoted to the myths and legends of Ancient Japan, reflected in the plots on the details of swords. The book was released by Atlant Publishing House in 2006 as part of the Weapons Academy series. The original edition contains 328 pages and has a hardcover. The publication is richly illustrated with images of objects from private collections.
