The blade is steel, slightly curved, single-edged, flat, without shafts. The combat end is double-edged. There is a saw on the butt. On the right holomain of the blade there is a stamp of the inspection acceptance "1" under the crown. On the butt of the blade there is a brand of the manufacturer in the form of the inscription "T. GILL" (Thomas Gill, Birmingham). The hilt consists of a hilt and a guard. The handle is brass, with transverse grooves. A cylindrical brass sleeve is located at the base. The back of the handle is smooth brass, smoothly turning into a curly head, made in the form of a stylized lion's head with a mane. The guard is formed by a single protective arm of the "Blucher type", turning at a right angle into a crosspiece. The far end of the crosspiece is in the form of a ball and bent towards the blade. The scabbard is missing.
the item is in good collector's condition. Surface corrosion marks on the blade. Scuffs and temporary patina on the hilt.
