The original boarding axe is in excellent condition. The axe consists of a wooden tree, a forged steel head, steel splints (veins) and fasteners. The blade of the head is wide, crescent-shaped with a semicircular cutting edge. There is a stamped stamp of the inspection acceptance on the left side. The thorn (beak) is a long, faceted and downward-curved prong on the butt for catching and piercing obstacles; located on the butt. Its main task is to hook onto the side of an enemy vessel during boarding (it was used as a boat hook), climbing high wooden sides, as well as piercing enemy armor, helmets or thick wooden bulkheads.
The item is in good collector's condition. Scuffs and traces of use around the perimeter of the axe.
