After the end of the First World War, the French government decided to establish a special award for war veterans. By decree of December 18, 1918, a "souvenir helmet" was established, which was Adrian's regular helmet, on the front visor of which there was a brass plate with the commemorative inscription "Soldier de la Grand Guerre 1914 - 1918" ("Soldier The Great War of 1914-1918"). Often, the name of a veteran was also applied to the plate, as in our case. This is exactly the kind of award-winning visor that is being presented now. Brass, stamping. Excellent collector's condition. Guarantee of authenticity.
