An extremely rare document of the Napoleonic Wars era related to the mobilization of Italians into the army and written on April 2, 1813 in The Elysee Palace and containing an abbreviated handwritten signature of the French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte (1769-1821), which he used when certifying official documents. The decree is in Italian. The partially printed document, which is a decree, has the title in large font "Napoleon, by the grace of God and By the Constitution, the Emperor of France, the King of Italy." The decree extends for another year the term granted to Italians in February 1812, which allowed them to request French citizenship, and contains two articles in which, in particular, it says: "... I nostri sudditi Italiani, che erano già naturalizzati in Paise estero ed in servizio di estera Potenza, per ottenere la nostra autorizhazhione mediante Lettere Patenti..." (translation: "... Our Italian subjects who have already naturalized in a foreign country and were in the service of a foreign power in order to obtain our permission through patent letters..". The document is aimed at simplifying the mobilization of new soldiers who were needed by Napoleon for the Saxon military campaign.
