Description

Silver stamping. A rare award in excellent collectible condition. The military order of St. Heinrich — Orden, founded by Augustus III, king of Poland and elector of Saxony (under the name of Friedrich August II) 7 Oct 1736. The military order of St. Henry is one of the oldest military awards of Germany. He is older than is known of the order Pour le Mérite. It is named in honor of Heinrich II, the last Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, which had Saxon origins, associated with the Christianization of Central Germany and is revered for his chivalrous character. After the fall of the Second Reich in Germany in the first world war, the order was abolished. The guarantee of authenticity.
