Description

An original and extremely rare medal in excellent condition. Bronze, blackening, stamping. On the obverse there is an image of an Iron Cross framed by a laurel wreath and rays of sunlight of the winners, centered on the date of the 1815 campaign. In the center of the reverse is the monogram of the King of Prussia Friedrich Wilhelm III (1797 - 1840) consisting of two Latin letters FW (Friedrich Wilhelm; Friedrich Wilhelm) and crowned with a royal crown, inscription in two lines in Gothic font in German «Preubens tapfern kriegern» ( "Prussia's brave warriors"), an inscription around the circumference in Gothic font in German «Gottwarmituns, Ihnseydie Ehre!» ( "God is with us, glory to Him"). History

It was established on December 24, 1813 in the German city of Frankfurt am Main by the King of Prussia Friedrich Wilhelm III (1797-1840). Prussia, Germany. Officers and soldiers of the Prussian army were awarded for military actions directed against the occupation regime of the French army of the Emperor of France Napoleon Bonaparte (1804-1815) and the liberation of part of its territory in January 1813. The order of the Prussian king read the following informative information: the medal is awarded to all those soldiers who, without exception, whether on the field or before the fortress, really fought and uncompromisingly their duty in everything in this current conflict. On October 3, 1815, due to the continuation of the Napoleonic Wars (1799-1815), where Prussia was already fighting on foreign territory, a new order was issued to award the award. The medal existed in various versions: 1813, 1814, 1813/1814 and 1815 (for the Battle of Waterloo on June 18, 1815).
