The Bremen Hanseatic Cross (German: Hanseatenkreuz Bremen) is a military award of the German Empire. It was established by the Senate of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen on September 14, 1915. It was awarded to military personnel and civilians for military honors, courage or special services for the benefit of the city during wartime. In terms of its status, it was an analogue of the Prussian Iron Cross.  Similar awards with an identical design of the cross, but with their coats of arms in the center, were simultaneously established by two more Hanseatic cities — Hamburg and Lubeck.
