Prussian Cross for the 1866 campaign, Koniggratz

An original and rather rare cross in good collector's condition. On the original tape. Bronze, stamping. Guarantee of authenticity.

At the end of the Austro-Prussian War on September 20, 1866, King Wilhelm I of Prussia established crosses for officers, lower ranks and military officials "... for the victorious campaign of 1866...":
a) for the part of the army that participated in the Battle of Koniggratz, with the inscription "Koniggratz den 3. Juli 1866"
b) for a part of the army operating in Thuringia and Southern Germany, with the inscription "Der Main-Armee 1866" (Main Army)
c) for units, officers and lower ranks who did not participate in the Battle of Koeniggratz and did not act as part of the Main Army, with the inscription "Treuen Kriegern 1866"
